Dual 4th gen Intel SP Lenovo ThinkStation PX REVIEW | IT Creations

Показать описание
Today we have the Lenovo Thinkstation PX Workstation. This is Lenovo’s most powerful Thinkstation to date, and remember we are talking 2023, so don’t leave a comment 2 years from now saying “oh Lenovo’s most powerful workstation”? Today it is. Dual processors, up to 4TB of memory. 4x GPUs… By the way hit that subscribe button if you like watching our videos. It does help us continue to create more content. Too much of a commitment? Just like the Lenovo Thinkstation P5, the PX also had a little help from Aston Martin in the design department. While still recognizably a Lenovo workstation, it has definitely been given an aesthetic upgrade. I went a little overboard with the… Watch the video!

EDIT:
Question: Does this system support 4TB of memory?
I try to do as much research as possible. The PSREF product overview has a footnote #1 for Max. Memory and in the notes on page 4 it states, "The max memory is based on the test results with current Lenovo memory offerings."
I assumed this to mean that, yes, it could be outfitted with 256GB memory. However, based on your question, I did contact Lenovo directly to confirm. This is the response, which I do believe confirms the 4TB of memory, it's just not tested:
"In PX we have 128GB DDR5 ECC 3DS-RDIMM PC5-4800 & 128GB DDR5 ECC RDIMM PC5-5600 memory DIMMs to support up to 2TB.
256GB DDR5 ECC RDIMM PC5-5600 & 256GB DDR5 ECC 3DS-RDIMM PC5-4800 are Certs only, this means we can support 4TB in PX as Certs Only. ( non-tests so far)”
Config. Rules:
We need 2 processors
Same as 128GB DDR5 rule, need to add Fan 4028 - DIMM Fan.
No 512GB memory dims in plan."
Hope that helps! Thanks for commenting and watching!
