Now im just busted! As my mind is kinda blown. My grandmother used to wave her fingers like a bird over my belly and sing a little chant about Kaleva and a hawk swooping down to get my tummy, and then she would tickle shoulder or belly s, sometimes she would even lean in and make like she was going to eat your stomach like a puma ! Sadly almost 50 yrs and i cant remember the chant.
Does anyone remember it!?
My family made it to US in the late 1890's, so this is an old Finnish poem or something.. please help!?

in Finnic lore Kaleva/Kalevi is "great king of Kainuu". Kainuu=Kainuland=Kvenland.

in Norse lore Kaleva is kalled Fornjotr. Fornjotr is Giant king of Kvenland.

Where I grew up long ago there were a lot of old Finnish immigrants. They had the same accent as Antti. It was odd to hear a young man speak with that accent.

Kaleva. We don't know much. I sense he was a very important god, from the "universe before the universe", a bit like Maat for the Egyptians or Ometeotl for the Aztecs. It is just my feeling though.
