Analyzing the Duffers' recent interview on Eddie Munson in season 5

Only a short analyzis - the video clip was too short for writing a lot...
Even if the Duffer brothers were planning on having Joseph Quinn aka Eddie Munson along for Stranger Things season 5, they don't want to reveal it yet. How things will wrap up in Stranger Things season 5 will be as much of a surprise as possible.
I wouldn't want Eddie to return as an undead, it seems like an even worse fate for him. But I trust that whatever the Duffers write will be good.

The big mistake the Duffers brothers made was to end the character of Eddie, GREAT INJUSTICE.. We all saw and recognized Eddie's death and that there was no going back. There are thousands of theories that lead to Eddie being alive and likely to return in the 5th season, but the end that Eddie had was very sad for everyone. If they bring him in season 5 it would be the best news that as fans we would like to hear, if they do I hope it will be in a great and intelligent way and not underestimating the character just to please the fans...Eddie deserves much more, great character and very well interpreted by Joseph, a great actor. I hope the best for the 5th season. Beautiful gesture to Eddie, I'm still in awe of all the love he's getting all over the world, he really deserves it. we love you jose

I spent ages reaserching about kas and why Eddie is likely to be like kas and typed it all out;

So in d&d (the game that stranger things is set around) theres thsi character called kas, kas the bloody-handed. He is a undead humanoid and his race is a vampire. He was a former master and his origin was he got bitten by bats and turnt into a vampire

If he is an unded humanoid that means he has previously died and come back to life but still having the form/appearance of a human. Meaning is Eddie really was kas he would come back as his normally form kindof, hell atleast look like his normal form.

His race is a vampire and the cause of this was bitten by bats and turnt into a vampire. He did die from the bat attack but then was later on brought back to be a vampire. As we saw in the last episode Eddie verry clearly died to the bats (wich I'm still in denial about hence I'm writing this) if he really was kas he would be brought back as a vampire. There is evidence that supports this like when there talking about killing veccna max says "drive a steak through his heart" with Robin to respond with "if he even has a heart" for steve to then go "a steak is he like what a vampire?" This hints to the fact that there could indeed be vampires and to behonest with all the other stuff going on a vampire is pretty normal.

I know in that scene they were talking about if vecna is a vampire however if he isnt a vampire himself then what's saying he cant make them?

Kas was originally a former master, and what is Eddie a former Dungon master, the master of the hellfire club. This alone could be a reference to Eddie.

Also Eddie has a tatoo of a demonic puppet being held and connected to a hand (likely the puppet masters hand) hinting to some sort of control or manipulation.

Not only this but when eddie was playing gituar it just so happend to be, master of puppets, could thsi be a coincidence?

Also going back to the hellfire club kas has a falming sword in some pictures, what else has a flaming sword the hellfire club logo!

Not only this but Robin teased about rabies alot from bat bites.the duffer brothers said everything happens on screen for a reason. Also the fact the that eddie got injured enough to die just before all the bats died seems a bit pointless, they could have easily kept him on the show as the dufferbrothers did want to. If we look at this again though, the bats have died so what does this leave vecna with as in an army, nothing? Will vecna need some form of army to complete his plans probably. This could link to the theory about Eddie becoming a humanoid (vampire)

the story of kas from d&d kas is bitten by bats, turnt into a vampire, becomes vecnas right hand, his most trusted lieutenant to later on betray him, destroying him leaving only his left hand and left eye.

Not only this but d&d in stranger things seems to almost manifest what was going on in the future. We did se vecna 'die' at the end of the series but I recon he will live as when Eddie and the others are doing there campaign vecna lives and they seemed to make a big deal out of it. As the duffer bros said, everything on screen happens fir a reason, and it's not the only time d&d has foreshadowed what was going to happen in the later parts of the show.

The main reason I think this theory is true is because. Before the calamity the archangel vecna achieved lichdom, amassed followers and undead forces, and with them they disappeared into shadow fell.

If we just take a look at thi bit before moving on to the rest, where it says before the camality, this could mean befor the destruction of Hawkins. Where it says vecna achieved lichendom, thsi means he achived an army of the unded. This means he could have succeeded in making Eddie a unded humanoid. Where its then says disappeared Into shadow fell, this could link too how all the bats on the upside down just fell.

Later on in the lore it says about where they conquered the city of Thar Amphala, this could symbolise how vecna managed to 'conquer' hawkins as we saw at the very end if the very last episode. It then goes on to say how vecna the built a tower there called Entipis that served as his base. At the end of the episode we eleven looking at how half the feild is dead it's almost as it the upside down now shares the over world, menaing vecna could set up a base there. It then also says about how vecna exploited the celestial solstice, a merging of key enegeris that game him the power to open portals at a whim. We know that vecna managed to gain tthe power to open portals at every one of his victims death sites, and we know that he can gain the power of anyone he kills because when dr bremner was talking to 11 in the lab he said soenthing about vecna absorbing powers, wich is why he diddnt want 11 to go before she was ready because if vecna got 11's powers it would be game over for the world. So maybe something happens causing vecna to have the power to open portals on a whim just like in the lore.

A little bit later it says this he over came some old enemies and forced the. To bend at the knee. Maybe 11 is the old enemy? Maybe they loose and she has to knee down to him.

Maybe this is when kas (aka eddie) turns on vecna allowing the Hawkins kids to win?

The problem with the Duffer Brothers is the keep repeating the same thing, get a character that everyone will love and kill him, happened in season 2, 3 and now 4, I think they should have changed that this time and surprised us by keep Eddie for season 5.

Eddie's death for me it was heartbreaking, but the death itself wasn't very clear to me, he didn't necessarily buy time for anyone, just for the sake of everyone, bring him back the way he was!!

they could technically have Eddie back and keep his character dead. Either in flashbacks with the Hell fire club, or even more creepy have Vecna use his body as a puppet.

I know I'm in denial, but let's not forget that Eddie is a metalhead and Iron Maiden has a mascot called Eddie that is often described as a zombie or undead like creature (despite not being one as far as I know, but i mean, it fits with the eddie munson being alive thing)
