Great review! Yours is the first I've seen of this collection. I am with you I feel this is more of a holiday collection. I was excited in the description when I saw these were two coaters. A little disappointed that they aren't quite. They do look great in the box.

Hey Amy, oh man, so sorry youre sick, hopefully youre feeling much better now, good news! Zoya are shipping to the UK now! I cant wait to get these although I ordered the 3 oldest collections I was missing from the stoppage last year. I think I'll let mine sit with their lids off for a bit, I always find that once used a few times Zoya do thicken up a smidge. I was thinking it was spring like, in spring you get bright tulips, for get me nots are a bright blue :)

TFS!!! What I find ironic is that Zoya released a nail polish named Marie when I had searched their website for one and had to go to Light’s Lacquer to purchase it a couple of years ago. Talk about calling the kettle black! 🤔 😑 😅

As far as I have been able to discover through Google, Zoya has 82 trademark applications with the USPTO, and only 18 of those are polish names. From what I understand, Trademarks are expensive, so it would make sense that they haven't trademarked every polish name they have used.

oh nos, ye poor critter - you still look adorbs! Btw, some of us don't like the wide brushes 😉 I have tiny nails and I hate that I paint half my finger with brushes that are too wide haha. But I fear I'm in the minority. Tink is nice! It's very unusual these days for Zoya formulas not to be very opaque - strange.

Personally, I’m not a big fan of Zoya. I may have 6 or 7 in my collection. The quality is good but they rarely release anything that is unique or grabs my attention.

Zoya copyrighted the names for nail polish and cosmetics only and I don't think that is strange. I do think it's strange that KL had 15 of the Zoya names either in full, spelled differently or changed slightly to name their polishes and that is not the only way KL names them. It seems like a lot to me.

Trademark is looser than everyone is implying. It goes state by state and it is predicated on would a consumer be confused. In this case it seems fair to say they would not have been confused. The case appears to have been settled after Zoya brought up some past issues with the other brand in legal filings. So blackmail basically...

Lights Lacquer is a problematic company at the best of times, not the least of which is their racism. They are not a nice brand, so I'm not remotely surprised.
