David Ellefson Responds To MEGADETH Firing

David Ellefson has responded to his firing from Megadeth and revealed he plans to take action against those who published unauthorized videos of him online. Megadeth announced last week that Dave Ellefson was out of the band.

My statement if I was Dave Mustaine: "Megadeth stands with Dave Ellefson. What he did regarding this matter was in his own time, privately, between 2 consenting adults. He did nothing illegal. This is just an attempt to tarnish the image of our brother and therefore our band. Dave Ellefson has been an integral part of Megadeth since its very beginning. He's a professional, talented and caring indivudual that's been by my side in some of my darkest moments. Megadeth looks forward to making more music and live shows with Dave Ellefson. Thank you for your support."

It’s always nice when a person who has years of probably doing horrible things while high or drunk gets sober, or somewhat sober and suddenly uses their moral certitude to cut someone loose who probably was there for them when they were being that asshole.

Okay but he didn't respond to Megadeth firing him he just said what he plans to do to the person who posted that video and defamed him. All he said about Megadeth is that he wishes them well on their upcoming tour. He even still called them his bandmates. The video title is a bit misleading.

Personally, I think what he did was weird but it's not illegal. He's the victim of a criminal act here ; and firing him is just insult to injury.

I can’t say I agree with Dave’s decision firing David like this, if it was a minor getting involved? I would agree 100% on firing him right there and then but this situation had little to nothing to do with the band.

2017 Mustaine said in an interview that Jnr was the one who saved his marriage, and if it weren't for him it wouldn't have been salvaged. And this is how you repay him? Right now is when he needs his friends to have his back. After all they've been through. Absolutely pissweak Mustaine. You let your team down.
