A Brief History of Beeswax before Starting on my Next Project

Beeswax has been around for centuries and used for a multitude of things, including waterproofing and cosmetics. For an upcoming project, I am going to be making beeswax cakes to give away as gifts. However, first I wanted to give a short history on beeswax, as it applies to the SCA.

For anyone curious about what exactly the 'SCA' is -- The Society for Creative Anachronism is an international, non-profit educational organization that studies and recreates the medieval and Renaissance years of 600-1600AD.
