Very interested in this, and you're the first I've heard even mention it. Great review...Can't find it anywhere in Canada yet, but I'll keep checking!

Sounds pretty good Bark! Has a natural sound for sure. I think it sounds more clear than the H & A AC50 to my ears. Well done!

Great review! I'm thankful for the off axis noise rejection test -- none of the other reviewers did that and I was especially interested in it because I'll be using the mic in a noisy environment

Great video, I use this microphone every day and I'm totally satisfied. Nevertheless, I ordered the new Maono PD 200 X today and am curious what it can do. I like your videos, you introduce the microphones very well. 👍👍

Just a note for making cheap thin body mic bodies sound better. Less microphonic for your diy mic projects. Scrounge some of that sound deadening sheet they use in body shop car repairs. It is black tar type stuff with sticky on one side and black or foil covered on the other. It works great. I have used it on other projects. A roll is not cheap. So hence scrounge some off your fav body shop to try it. They use it inside door panels car floors etc. Will make your job easier. Cuts with scissors and can be shaped. Hope you don`t mind. I love your diy mics so if this encourages you then great. Keep up the good work.

Hey, which sounds better maono hd300t or fifine am8, I'm getting them both for the same price.
Also, is buying behringer xm8500 with a cheap 20$ audio interface better than the above options considering I'll be using AM8 or HD300t in USB mode but if i buy behringer, I'd get a cheap audio interface.
Please do reply, sale is about to finish

I an considering this vs the Behringer XM8500 since they are priced closely in my country. Which one would you suggest? I will be using it for streaming with XLR.

That Base also comes with, what I consider the closest budget microphone to the tlm103, fifine k670. (The mic that put fifine on the map 5 yrs ago). I tipped it over so many times and finally broke the mic. Get to get a different stand adapter or mounted on an arm.

i read you would chose this mic over the q2u, why is that? and pretend like price isn't a factor, cus i cant pick between the two

Hello, nice content, may I ask you, for podcast what would you recommend, Samson q2u or this maono model?...

Would you say the mini usb for the q2u is a deal breaker? It's 55 bucks at b and h

Came back to watch this a second time, Just got a Q2U and wanted to compare. I may need an intervention

USB-C does not make the mic sound quality better. Everyone thinks that but it’s not factual. You need an “audio” USB cord. They do make them. They start at $60 bucks. Usually made of silver with gold plated ends. Most people make the mistake of using crappy printer cables. They can’t process the signal. Otherwise the mic ain’t bad.

Good review but it's Maono, not Moano

Is the USB output 24-bit like the ATR2100x or 16-bit like the Q2U or original ATR2100? Is there a LED Eye of Sauron like many of these mics seem to come with?

The 2100x also has USB C so it may be related like the ATR2100 had several mics very similar that competed.

Micro usb sucks. 100 dollar mic and micro usb breaks. So getting a mic like this sounds better.
