I spent the whole morning listening to theremin. It's damn relaxing. I had art work to do, and it went really smooth with no aggravation 'cause I was so relaxed.

Great video. I now have an understanding of how the theremin works. Hoping to get one of these soon to work with my synths.
Update 19/10. I received my Theremini a couple of days ago. No-one in my village knew what it was and they are all amazed. It must be the most incredible instrument ever invented. I can spend hours moving my fingers a few millimetres to change the sound by a few Hertz. It is the instrument that enables you to, self-contemplate and meditate. In the case of lockdown for Choronavirus, it's the best friend you can have.

Good job Markus. I have one too and a modified Moog Etherwave Standard and prefer this unit as you can produce music as opposed to mere sounds much quicker.

For truly hands-on sound design you can't touch a theremin.

I recently aquirred a much older solid state homemade theremin on loan. I was a tad concerned about plugging it into my interface, however it works well, clean, and bright no substantial noise floor, hums, issues Id expect from an electric guitar and amp, its mono but that is fine.
What is wonderful is that I can apply software eq, compression, delay, effects, even pitch correction via my DAW while I am recording and monitoring and it works well in 2023

I've used an Alesis Air Synth for a number of years and had great fun with it so this product is very interesting to me. Love the bloopers!

Thanks Markus! Very interested in getting a Theremini and its great to see the guts. Wow there really isnt a lot (in space terms) in modern electronics. I think the editor software will make it even more useful - thanks for that update! Keep up the excellent work!

I am very happy with my Moog Theremini. Especially love the bass on the #12 channel. Would definitely buy another if I broke mine.

Ha ha.. another great video :-) loved the outakes at the end too. Very good. D beam on Rolands gear can do similar theramin impressions but I always fancied the real deal. But then. . My ears hurt listening to the constant crying expression these give out. I do like the note correction though as that would ease my pain lol...

How do you get the top off? I’ve removed the four screws underneath and one in the back but it won’t budge. The little clip that snaps the want into place underneath broke off and is rattling inside so I’m trying to get it out and glue back on. Thanks
