Thanks for the unboxing.  Just an FYI for anyone purchasing EotS.  Make sure you look at the which printing it is, 2nd or 3rd.  The 2nd printing is on sale also.  The GMT website has the differences are between both.  Happy Gaming

As ridiculously complex and nerdy as it may be, it seems a simpler than Samurai. As an army guy though, it’s funny when I think about how these and other games don’t even come remotely close to real life in terms of complexity. Having said that, it seems like a well thought-out game, and I can’t wait to play my copy.

"29 pages is not a tremendous amount" (of rules). LoL.
Twenty nine pages may be less than what's found in some other high level wargames, but STILL, it's a LOT of rules. Especially when EVERY SINGLE sentence (in small font, BTW) in this rulebook counts.
