It's extremely simple in concept, easy to use and still powerful, always providing value due to it's cost of zero sun. It's plantfood is amazing support, beeing literally just an Ice shroom, which makes it just a really good pick if you have a slot open in you're loadout!

At level 5 it gains chill.
At level 11 it can now freeze in a 1x3 area.
At level 16 it can now freeze in a 3x3 area and when it gets boosted by Winter-Mint, it will freeze in a 5x5 area instead.

Fun Fact: Iceberg Lettuce was originally supposed to be in PVZ1, where it looked like an ice version of Cabbage Pult

Iceberg lettuce being a free staller makes it pair pretty well with stallia as well, in groups you can freeze a particular target and slow a different group of zombies, and for stalling early game you just wait until the zombie thaws and place stallia to stack the slows

Iceberg Lettuce is like the little brother/sister of PvZ1 Ice-Shroom, it's Plant Food is the same thing but the plant itself is free

I love this guy in challenge runs. Normal games already like the early game plants like Potato, Squash, and Iceberg, but especially when you’re limited in some way (and can still Iceberg of course).

when i was a bit younger, i saw lots of videos of iceberg lettuce exploding after it freezed a zombie, so i leveled up ONLY iceberg lettuce and now i regret it
