Pichi X2 Clone Wars! | Giriaitus 7-in-1 Multitool and ResafeLy Titanium EDC Tool

Here is a look at two copies of the Pichi X2 multitool, and a brief test of their features. The Giriatus tool is not made of titanium, despite all of the descriptions claiming it is, and overall is a pretty bad tool. The ResafeLy tool is a very good clone of the Pichi X2, and for just over half the price, is probably a better deal if you are looking for this type of tool.

I was SO close to buying the Giriatus! Thanks for helping me avoid wasting my money.

I'm glad I found your review, all three of them look much better than they perform. I think I'll pass on these clones.

Really hard to find Pichi anywhere, but if I one day happen to find it, it's the one I'll buy

I had the Giriaitus for a few weeks but returned it. It seemed well made but was too small for my taste. I knew the tool was not made of Titanium, but Titanium coated. Anyhow, I also did not like the small knife on it. I felt I was going to cut myself every time I went to open it and it looked like it would easily break. The rotating driver also was a bit awkward, and the driver parts did not stick out far enough. I did not really test it too much, but the glass breaker piece also looked like it would interfere with the drivers. I would consider buying something else like this tool, but it would have to be a bit larger and more robust.

Nice reviews, thank you. Can the screws at the jaw and at the scalpel be removed?

I'm not sure about a wrench being good for EDC, maybe someone whose line of work has more bolts to deal with frequently? Even if that's the case, a wrench that has a longer arm would be better since most bolts are screwed in tightly. I actually have a spring loaded wrench like that. It has a bigger head though since I use it on water pipes. But nowadays I use water pump pliers since they have other uses as well.

If you're going to have a "multi-tool / EDC tool, " save your money (on purchasing one of the items listed in the vid) and purchase a real multi-tool (i.e., Leatherman, SOG, etc.).

As an owner (and EDC) of an actual Pichi, I'd say that resafely was NOT made in the same factory, but is merely a closer clone. Properly aggressive teeth; stronger detent (on a VERY sharp blade); worth the extra, and worth supporting the original designers.
Rarely, a clone can be a re-imagining which takes an idea to new heights, but (as in these cases) they are merely trying to make money from the labor of others by offering a cheaper version of a lower quality.

TLDR - Too Long Didn't Read - they're all crap! I'll give the original a pass but for the clones - why clone a junk tool that is bad at everything it does. The Titanium tool is the name of the product like the F150 'Platinum edition' or Lexus Gold Edition it is the name of the product not what it is made of. Also, the spring loaded wrench is a copy of a 'Basin Wrench' except these EDC tools do such a bad job it becomes useless. Razor is dangerous and the angled pry bar provides no leverage. Tools like this destroy the image of EDC tools.

Yeah I wanted my time and money on the geriatrix paper weight…cool looking piece of shit…so if you’re in the market for something that really looks like it’s capable but fails miserably get you one whole supplies last…I find it mind boggling that one could make a tool that looks so interesting and cutting edge turn out to be useless
