10 New Crossover Cars Coming in 2018 (Prices and Technical Specs Compared)

The crossover or so called compact SUV segment has been booming around the globe in the recent years. While full-size SUVs offer unlimited power and space for its owners, very often it isn’t something that drivers are looking for.

Sometimes just a car that is little bit roomier than a four door sedan is exactly what is required to satisfy the needs of a small family and provide extra comfort, while remaining rather affordable and efficient. On this list we collected the most recent and all-new compact SUVs of the 2018 model year that fall into various segments of luxury, price, performance and come from all over the world.

This is the third generation of BMW X3 that is now somewhat bigger and has strong resemblance to the older X5 model. The sales are about to start and the auto was priced at $43,445.

The new 2018 Cayenne does not differ much on the outside from its predecessor, but was built on the new platform and like it always happens in the recent years grew in size.

The first generation of EcoSport was introduced in 2016 and this year the time has come for an update. The new crossover looks more stylish and solid, it received modernized interior, high tech hardware and should be available in dealerships starting from January 2018 with a 20,000 MSRP.

The 2018 Jaguar E-Pace is eager to bring elegance and artistry to the class of crossovers. E-Pace has head turning looks, and dynamic performance, but the only downside of this compact SUV is its starting price for the most basic trim.

Subaru has been dominating the light SUV market for many years now, due to the perfect implementation of the right-sized all-wheel drive formula for those who need reliable outdoor performance. The Crosstek is a perfect example of this formula.

Stelvio is the first ever SUV built by Alfa Romeo that in essence is a stretched Alfa Giulia. The Stelvio offers all of the Italian luxury you can get on the inside and by all account is one of the best sporty SUVs in the recent years.

Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross - from the name of this crossover you might get an idea that it has some relation to the long-running Eclipse performance coupe that was discontinued in 2012. However, it was only a marketing move to use a long established name, since this soft-roader is far from being a performer.

The all new XC40 2018 is the smallest crossover of this car brand with just 14 and a half feet in length and 8.9 feet wheelbase. The model is following the signature edgy style of Volvo that is present in the older XC60 and XC90.

Volkswagen has finally dared to release a subcompact crossover that was built on the modular platform MQB, and VW Golf served as the platform donor for this auto.

This subcompact crossover is mostly oriented on the city driving. The design seems rather controversial but, we are confident that it will find its fans.

I leased an Infiniti QX 30 a week ago and I could not be happier with my choice. It's an amazing crossover. I was worried that the body style was too young for this 61 year old, but it is not. It's just a beautiful sports car with speed and agility and room for cargo.. I've had many luxury cars and Suvs and I haven't been this happy with any others, and the lease costs less than a Nissan Rouge I was considering. This rx30 far exceeds my expectations . Thanks to Tony Anthony and everyone at Austin Infiniti for being so excellent.
