Tornadoes are tragic and I cannot imagine the trauma these people are going through. May God hold them and give them strength. That said, it does always surprise me that this is treated as something unexpected. If you choose to live in an area where tornadoes are common, it would make more sense to build better, more practical houses. Smaller, lower, streamlined rooves, more solid outer walls.

My sister lives in South Carolina with her husband and her three kids and a tree fell on their house during the hurricanes and stuff and the older two are mostly fine for the most part but the youngest one who's proof it came through has nightmares about it about once a week and in the beginning she couldn't sleep alone ever
