Jesse - I don't know why everyone doesn't set up their flashes this way. This way you wouldn't have all that weight way out on the boom! Maybe there is a available clamp that would allow the flash body to go in vertical position...as opposed to sticking out horizontally.

Great stuff! Just to mention regarding the table mount insert: when you aren't using it in the jaws you can snap it in place behind the safety tightening screw to keep from losing it. That's a way better solution than dropping it in your gear bags where you're sure to lose it.

Are there other uses/accessories for the holes on either side of the 1/4 ?
