Thanks to everybody who supported and participated in Pride week celebrations, including all those Winnipeggers who joined us for the 2018 Pride Walk!
It was such a beautiful celebration of diversity and inclusion, and it made me even more proud to call Winnipeg our home. We were honoured to be joined by Winnipeg's 41st Mayor, Glen Murray, who when he was elected, was the first openly gay mayor of a major city, in the World. That was right here in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Winnipeg is Good, in part because of everyone involved in Pride.
Many people have fought for years to have their rights protected, and to build an inclusionary city for us and our kids. A place where there are no second class citizens. A place where you can be you, without fear.
Our community's work continues. Let's keep walking together!
