What's In Your Job Shop 5

What’s in your job shop? 5 A machine shop give-away! I am working on with help from my friend Vince, to set up a small collection of machines to give away to an acquaintance we met during frequenting Brava, Cape Verde Islands, Valdir Monteiro. I built the two pallet platforms to support the machinery for the journey to Brava. I share the build and share the opening of a few more Items that have been sent in, just in time to make the packing and sealing.
Life is good! Cheers, Keith

John Peterson is a pretty decent fellow if you ask me. We exchange messages all the time. One of these days I am going to venture down and have a coffee with him. You really know how to pack stuff up and give it a chance of arriving as intended. Nice Fork lift BTW. cheers

Very cool Keith, the tools to do a job and the video's ( or a phone call 👍) to reference if he gets stuck on setups or a job. Even plate bracing reused is so useful in a shop as everything has to be brought in by boat at blahblah expense.

@11:35 That micrometer reminds me of the one my HS Physics teacher gave me! 0-25mm. Someone had closed it tight in the Wintertime and I found it in a drawer in warmer weather. It was locked solid. He said: "If you can fix it you can have it!" So I took it home and clamped it in a vice (carefully) and managed to break it loose! Took it all apart and cleaned and oiled it. When I put it all back together it zeroed! Not bad for a 15-year-old kid! I still have it!

2:35 The first mod those Chinese bandsaws need is a base with 4 wheels and brakes. They are a PITA to move around.

Kudos Keith! Those little 2 hp RF30's are a workhorse, have a 30+ year old model I use daily!

is it too late to ship a nice Starrett d metric dial caliper and metric drop indicator from San Diego? I had them both stashed away and had to do a major cleanup to find them. I could ship 11/4
