This is short book review of The Courage to Be Disliked. A book that acted like an introduction to Adlerian psychology for me. In today’s video I will summarize the main ideas for the book and share some of my key lessons and takeaways.

The courage to be Disliked is written by Ichigo Kishimi and Fumitake Koga and is written in the style of a Socratic dialogue between a philosopher and a frustrated youth.

The book will provide you with mindsets that get you back to living a life that is more true to yourself, far away from always seeking the approval or others and constant people pleasing.

Just got finished reading this. Weird how a book written in such simple language and with such a simple premise (an ongoing discussion between two people) can be such a slog to read through. Not in a bad way. Just a lot to unpack. But a really good important book. And in a way a reminder of things you probably already knew.
