If you think Space Marines are crazy, take a look at the Protoss.

These guys can teleport their average foot soldiers anywhere on a battlefield. Fuck, they can teleport a fuckin fort or a starship into a battlefield. They also have guns that can decimate tanks from a long distance, and their war machines can destroy an infantry company singlehandedly. Their capital ship can wipe a planet out on its own.

What is their favorite tactic?

Charging right into the enemy with their space magical blades that can cut anything. Dying only make them eager to fight more.

Am I alone thinking that the protoss is more alike the space marines than any other race in 40k?
Like both are super warriors unmatched in single combat yet limited in numbers.
Both like to charge into melee screaming something about glory.
Both put mortally wounded soldiers into war machines much more useful than standard ground troops.
And the similarities go on and on...

I imagine that the SC Marines would look like drugged up, armored Guardsmen in the eyes of the Astartes. To the Protoss, the Tau would be like distant cousins- that suck at melee. They would tolerate the Eldar and their arrogance... until they find out about Slaanesh.

The Orks would just be happy to have more humies, smarty pants, and bugs to smash.
