The Principle of Anticipation is one of the 12 Principles of Animation defined by Disney animators in the golden age of animation. The 12 Principles help to make your animations feel both realistic and engaging. In this series of videos we'll explore the principles one by one to show how you can apply them to your animation or motion graphics projects.

The series will be releasing every Monday, with the next video out on the 16th of August, 2021.

I made this all in Adobe Animate, Photoshop and Premiere.

I’ve never seen a more perfect explanation… Made me think of eases in a completely different way.

The way I understand is, something that accelerates slows out. Something that slows down, decelerates or slows in to another pose or final pose. Is that correct? So, when something starts to move since it accelerates, then it slows out as its fastness comes in. Maybe we should call it Slowness in or Slowness out because it is really confusing.
