I learned this in 7th grade because I was in pre algebra and even in the non pre al class we still learned this and everywhere on YouTube all it shows is this..

I canceled the eight because eight times V over eight will give you 8/8 and anytime you have 8/8 or 6/6 or four over four or any number over itself it will always become one so it really cancels it out. Then you multiply of course the other side of the Quetion buy the same thing in this case it was eight.. Basically, to get rid of any denominator( in this case it was. 8) you just multiply it by the same number on each side. If it still doesn't make sense let me know. I could probably do a mini 1min video showing this.
