Onion OS Install Guide | In under 5 Minutes | Miyoo Mini Plus

Please use the video linked above if you want to bring over your Roms and BIOS from the Stock SD card.

This guide can still be used by people who are want to install Onion OS fresh with no ROMS or BIOS on it.

Tools/Items used in the video:

**Do this before using Rufus on your stock SD card**
Make a backup copy the folders shown below to your computer somewhere
Roms location = SD Card/Roms
Bios location = SD Card/retroarch/.retroarch/system

**WARNING**
*You will lose the Roms and Bios from the Stock SD card if you don't backup the ROMs and Bios folders to your computer before running rufus*
**WARNING**
Recommend to NOT use the Stock SD card as it is unreliable and you will lose your Roms and Bios if you don't back them up before using Rufus. Follow backup instructions above Rufus link.

*Do this before using Formatting your stock SD card*
To make a backup copy the folders shown below to your computer somewhere
Roms location = SD Card/Roms
Bios location = SD Card/retroarch/.retroarch/system

if you are on a Mac, instead of using Rufus you can format your SD card with the built-in Disk Utilities:

Open Application › Utilities › Disk Utilities
From the sidebar, select the USB drive
Choose Erase from the toolbar
Set Format › MS-DOS (FAT)
Set Scheme (if it exists) › Master Boot Record
Click Erase and wait for the process to finish

SD Cards
Max size of FAT32 is 2TB
Recommend size is 128gb or 256gb for most cases. 512gb for extreme cases.

Why the SNEA simulator defaults to 9x 2005? I will never know but about half the games I play with it have sound card issues and it doesn't let you switch unless you're an expert mode and it does not ship with it enabled.

When I'm getting at is this guide is invaluable for me being able to actually get the emulators I want on here as default and be able to switch as needed instead of constantly plugging in the SD card to change files up
