Easter Chocolate Nest Cupcakes | Tutorial & How To | Cupcake Jemma

Easter is one of our FAVOURITE times of year to bake at Crumbs & Doilies, and it honestly seems crazy that we haven't shared the recipe for one of our most loved cupcakes.. The Easter Nest Cupcake!!

Squishy vanilla sponges topped with silky buttercream, splatted with gorgeous cocoa & finished with crispy, crunchy, DELICIOUS chocolate nests, filled with mini eggs! You can find them on the counter all week at C&D Soho or order online for delivery or collection from our bakery!

MAKES 12 CUPCAKES

CUPCAKES
125g Self Raising Flour
125g Caster Sugar
1/4 tsp Bicarb
125g Unsalted Butter
2 Eggs
1.5 tbsp Whole Milk
1/4 tsp Vanilla Extract

VANILLA BUTTERCREAM
200g Unsalted Butter
320g Icing Sugar
3 tbsp Milk
1/2 tsp Vanilla
Food Colouring of you choice

COCOA SPLATS
10g Cocoa Powder
1-3 tbsp Water

CHOCOLATE NESTS
200g Dark Chocolate
50g Butter
50g Golden Syrup
4 Blocks Shredded Wheat
Mini Eggs to finish
