Little Eva - The Loco-Motion [Americana] 4K Remastered 1

Written by American songwriters Gerry Goffin and Carole King, The Loco Motion was a 1962 U.S. No. 1 hit, recorded by "Little Eva" Boyd.

Boyd was Carole King's babysitter, having been introduced to King and King's husband Gerry Goffin by The Cookies, a local girl group who would also record for the songwriters.

"The Loco-Motion" was the first release by the new Dimension Records company, whose releases were mostly penned and produced by Goffin and King. There are two common versions of the song in circulation: one includes handclaps during the verses; the other has no handclaps. King performed the backup vocals in the recording.

The song has also twice since topped the US charts, in 1974 by Grand Funk Railroad (also U.S. No. 1), and in 1988 by Kylie Minogue (U.S. No. 3).

I miss the good old days, back when music 🎶🎶 was music 🎶🎶.
Today's modern world doesn't understand the truth and the meaning of the 50-60's.
Life was so much better back then, less complicated, thank you for sharing this treasure ❤❤❤

I listened to this song on an LP, my Mom and Dad used to dance to this song back in the early 60's, that's how I learned how to dance.❤❤❤❤

❤ I agree with everybody that commented. There is nothing like the music from the 50s and 60s. It's music that would make you get up and dance even if you didn't know how. And the slow songs of the 50s and 60s with music that you can make love to. Not like today's music that doesn't even make you tap your toes. And the fun ways we used to dance don't compare to dancing on your head and jumping off of the hoods of cars I'm doing all the acrobats they actually dance. Holding each other whether it be hand in hand or with your arms around her. Can't do that today!!!!

Loved this in 1962? Still do. Written by Carol King. Little Eva was her home helper. One of my favorites!!!!

Listening the 60th music never make me feel tired even whole day long. I like to do that in my younger age and up to now in my old days. Never forget how it felt to listen this kind of music, all kind of 60th, pop, rock, country and so on

In the mid 80’s my sister and I would wait for this song to come on the oldies station so we could record it on tape.. Life wasn’t always easy, but much simpler times 🩷🩷🩷
