EcoTraining brings you another episode in our Birds of the Bush series. Each month we'll bring you something about the birds of the bush that YOU want to see.

We received a request from Attest Chauke to feature the Verreaux's Eagle Owl, without further ado let's join EcoTraining Instructor Richard Davis and take a closer look at the amazing sighting we found of the Verreaux's Eagle Owl.

The Verreaux's Eagle Owl is the largest African owl with short, tousled ear tufts. Also commonly known as the milky eagle owl or Giant eagle owl, and is a member of the family Strigidae.

Please leave us a comment below and tell us if there is a specific bird/owl you would like to learn more about, we'd love to hear from you!

EcoTraining is also offering an Online Birding Enthusiast Course.

Love these birds of the bush videos. Just discovered the African jacana while watching PaintedDog TV at Pridelands. Would like to know more about this bird. Thanks.

Hi - We saw one in our garden last night - so stunning. Would they "attack" small dogs?

Fascinating, thanks. What would be the reason for this one feeding in the day if they are nocturnal?
