Delhi Excise Policy Scam: No Respite For Manish Sisodia, CBI Summons Delhi Deputy CM Again | News

About three months after the charge sheet was filed in the Delhi Excise Policy case, the CBI summoned Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia for questioning on Sunday. According to officials, Sisodia has not been listed as an accused party in the charge sheet because the investigation into him and the other suspects is still ongoing. The charge sheet named seven defendants, including arrested businessmen Vijay Nair and Abhishek Boinpally. The Delhi government is accused of favouring specific dealers who are said to have paid bribes in order to receive licenses for selling alcohol, a claim that the AAP fiercely disputes. Vinai Kumar Saxena, the lieutenant governor, recommended that the CBI conduct an investigation into alleged irregularities in the creation and implementation of the Delhi Excise Policy, which was released in November last year.
