Thank you for your video. I too went through this process. Then my account was terminated (3) times. TERMINATED! But before that, two suspensions. I had been on KDP since 2014, starting with a non-fiction book that sold well and worked my way into low and medium content books from 2019 forward. The issue was with one low content journal that contained a copyrighted term: MLB (Major League Baseball) in the title of the book. A book that was published in 2019. I acknowledged my error. When it first came to my attention I immediately unpublished it and went through my catalog of 900 books to remove any and all that I felt had any issue potential. Moving forward I was very careful and thought all was well. A few months later, another suspension that was on a book that wasn't even in my catalog - not my book! These things were resolved, and again I started moving forward slowly. Long story short, for three years, each November - terminated account and me asking for a review and reinstatement. The third time - it didn't work and I'm off KDP. It's been about 9 months and I've shifted gears to other platforms, but because my books sold well internationally, and thousands lost, it hurts. I prayed throughout and asked for guidance - thy will be done. God is good, but sometimes we're knocking on the wrong door and have to be redirected. I was invested in KDP for a long time and tried my best to play by the rules. I've been considering asking them to consider reinstatement a fourth time, but that's my ego. I like what you said about being still. It truly does help. I often ask for God to help me to hear his words louder than my own. For now, I'm on Etsy, Barnes and Noble Press, and have started shifting to things other than books too. The biggest lesson I learned was to diversify and never again use just one platform. I know exactly how you felt. I got my account suspended and after that I started to publish wide!
I created my own website. Brought my own isbn and used other places to print my books. And instead of Amazon getting a large percentage I received my own payouts from my website and I used draft2digital to publish my ebook.
