I SOLD 10 Retired LEGO Investments for a profit...Here's how much I made

Hi everybody, I'm back today with another spreadsheet video. I recently sold 10 LEGO sets in bundles to buyers, so I thought it would be fun to do a full breakdown. I'll share my cost basis, and reveal how much profit I was able to achieve upon liquidating these mainly retired, mainly-Star Wars LEGO Investments.

NOT FINANCIAL ADVICE. This video is for entertainment purposes only. All investing involves risk and you are solely responsible for that risk.

Do you own any of these sets that I sold? Were you surprised by any of these results? In the end, I averaged 58.1% ROI on this lot, which was better than the video I did earlier this year about selling 25 sets for $750. I'm psyched about that! Thanks for watching as usual. Please feel free to drop a comment below, letting me know what sort of LEGO investing content you'd like to see on the DG Bricks channel.

Gratz on the low buy prices you got on some of the sets! Do you have to pay taxes on your profits, like capital gains tax? If that's the case then that will eat another 20% of your profit or so?

Those newer sets aren't doing so well but give them time .Very good job on the discounts you got. That really saved you . Shipping is a big problem right now especially with the bigger sets.

What are your thoughts on the 75336 Inquisitor Transport Scythe? Think going in now with the 20% discount on amazon/target is worth or can hold off for another sale within the holiday season?

All this work just for $155 seems ridiculous to me. Not to mention the amount of capital needed to buy and store the product. Just doesn't seem worth it to me for how litte money you get (even if the roi is high).

Quest? Retired 06'Lego:Star Wars contents Sealed set is one of the higher valued as its one in Ultimate Collector series-#10175 Vaders Tie Fighter Advanced (which I have Little to NO knowledge nor reason to hang on to it. I'm trying to sell the set for $600-$700 which is almost half the price for a sealed set is currently valued & for what they actually sell for. The only condition/damage is to corner of outside of box and small tear, that's it. My question being is how much does the condition issues affect and amount reasonable to ask ???

Stock market guys: 'I made 15% this year thats not great'

Haha people look at the roi, but then people don’t realise the time needed to buy, store, pack and ship!!! So in the roi, time should be considered. Although money was made, I am sure many hours were use to buy, store, list and sell. The ROI will be lower if you have to pay taxes. But it better than nothing! Let hope online sellers don’t get damage, lost parcels and scammers along the way! However good job selling locally. Less risk and technically saving time!

Real question is what do you do with the profits?

I only invest in lego to fight inflation about $1k a month. Sometimes more

No hate, but it’s still so weird to me that people make a living just reselling shit. It’s strange

You seem like a pretty poor buisnessman. Why on earth would you sell a Republic Fighter tank before it's even retired for basically no profit? Wait 12 months and it's basically going to double.

Why make a 3$ profit, rather hold tbh

And you're using your analytical and data skills on LEGO. What a huge waste of talent. I work in reverse. I buy My sets off of TEMU
Like the knock off version of Porsche GT3 RS. Ebay and Amazon have varying kits of around $900.00 and up. TEMU price $84.96! When it is up on a shelf who gives a rip if it's LEGO or not? Just as enjoying to build. Apparently LEGO didnt learn their lesson last time.
