I did something similar a couple of years back - using my own Windows app to stream part of my desktop to the ESP32 over UDP - got a good framerate, but the power consumption is crazy with so many neopixels. I made my own 16x16 tiles too, but they were for a shop display, and had to have holes in so they didn't darken the window too much. They do look awesome at night though.

great job, bro. I have make some 64x8 with glediator jong time ago, and didn't finished my 64x16 with plexiglas and 2 x 0.5m of size. Awesome project! How difficult would it be to write a program that converts an mp4 or whatever into 12288 ws2812bs? 128fps dang you should play doom on it lol

What library are you using on the ESP-32? You would have to be parallelizing across multiple pins for that framerate.
