You go into battle, you either die or you live. And Taz is living

The jobbers name Joel Hartgood was a rib making reference to the owner of TWA Tri state Wrestling Alliance, which was really the genesis of ECW. A few of the jobbers in ECW had names which were ribs on local promoters and personalities. I believe the arena show this was taken from is Cyberslam 96, but used for Hardcore TV which is what the format of the ECW TV show was; footage used from the ECW arena shows, some were released commercially via ECW home video, but some weren't such as High Incident 96, so some tape traders would compile the matches and segments broadcast on Hardcore TV to get the next best thing to a full version of those shows which weren't released. The rest of the show was usually made up of footage from the tour loop, some professionally shot and some via RF fan cam. I loved the format of the show, personally although it "wasn't for everyone" 😉. 1993-1999 were the best days of my wrestling life by far. Seeing the WWF new generation take hold, then the emergence of ECW, the Monday night war and the evolution of the attitude era which ECW undoubtedly played a huge part in, before everything went downhill. An incredible time to be a wrestling fan, I feel sorry for the fans today who didn't get to experience it first hand, you missed the boat, guys.
