Controlling LEDs using Serial Monitor in Arduino

Components Needed:
Arduino Uno
USB cable for arduino
3 LEDs (color: red, blue, green) - you can change the color if you want
3 resistors (220 ohms preferred) but you can use any value
breadboard
jumper wires

Thanks, I prepared my own code but the difference was you used "Serial.available() > 0" and I used "Serial.available()" only 😀

the project that I was tasked with is that I needed to type a word/string of texts like "red", "yellow", and "green". The code used in your project will only work for a single character. Can you help?

Hi, can I use 6 band blue resistors to make a traffic light project?( Sorry Im new and I want to know if i would need to buy yellow resistor or fo the project with the ones I already have)

I'm having error
