Assos is a popular day trip for visitors to Kefalonia, lots of people enjoy a lunch in one of the many little tavernas perched on the quayside overlooking the bay.

Assos (Άσος) is a village on the west coast of the island of Kefalonia (Cephalonia) Greece. Assos is located 36 km north of Argostoli, the capital of Kefalonia. The village of Assos is built on a small peninsula and is overlooked by the ruins of a 16th century Venetian castle.

A wonderful hidden place in Kefalonia.
I've been there a couple of times and I will go again!
For those loving scenic walks, don't miss climbing to the Venetian Castle.
Relatively easy climb and the view is magnificent.

Αν υπάρχει δήμαρχος σέ αυτό τό κουκλιστικο χωριό, ή κοινοτάρχης, νά τού κάνω μία παρατήρηση ! Ο χώρος τού Ηρώου, θά μπορούσε νά ήταν πιο περιποιημένος, με λίγα λουλούδια σέ παρτέρια στις γωνίες, τό λιγότερο πού θά μπορούσε νά κάνει !!!
Τόσο τουρισμό δέχεται η Άσσος !!!
