I like the look of the AI 5:37 blades. They give a nice uniform covering of light on the IM. Nice par levels to start with at 20%

My 40 breeder is a new setup but I’m loving the Aquamaxx Prism II I got from BRS. The 36” model was only $187 and looks super slick. Not too hard to program and offers a lot of flexibility and control for new hobbyists (regardless of budget, IMO)

Isn't it better to measure PAR with flow because that's how our tank will run?

I like the form factor of the blades. My problem is the price point for essentially a strip light. For a bit more money you can buy a photon and have the best of both worlds.

I am trying to set up my first saltwater aquarium and it’s not gonna be nothing fancy it’s a 50 gallon tank with hob filtration but I’m trying to keep my budget low and am looking to spend 200 dollars on lighting I could spend more but is it worth spending more. I would love to have a reef tank but don’t know what light to buy I like a lot of lights on the website but don’t know if I would need one good lighting or 2 smaller lights. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Oh look still recommending blades as the number #1 light even with their current issues. You should at least recommended something else until the issues are fixed. The blades don’t match color/brightness end to end.
