I used this video about 3 years ago to assemble my printer. I downloaded the video using a browser called Torch. It is a Chrome browser with a video grabber and converter built in. You click one time and it downloads the YouTube video. It also extracts the audio from the video. Very handy. Then I opened the video in VLC Video player. It has controls to slow the video way down.

It took me 5 hours and 33 minutes to assemble. It has been working great ever since.

Thank you Andraz Span. Your video made it possible to complete this very complex task. You made it very easy.

The printer is fragile. Be extremely careful you do not over tighten anything. Put your printer on a flat extremely well made table. I went to my local thrift store and bought a table top that came out of a restaurant booth. It was a type that had a single 90 degree angle of steel on the bottom and bolts to the wall. You can find these on craigslist as well. I paid $5 for it. The table top is flat and has Formica top. Its from the 80s so it is very well built.

If you use a Wal-mart plastic table or some other flimsy type of table you will be sorry. Your printer will not work right and it will eventually fail. It is very high quality and has to me on a flat surface that does not move or vibrate.

Do not use super glue that is of a generic type. I used super glue jell from the Dollar Tree. It does not leak all over the parts. DO NOT USE LOCTITE glue. The LOCTITE brand is made for automotive use and is very strong. It will weaken your parts and the printer will fail.

I added some bubble levels on each part that moved. I added a battery powered laser from an old GI Joe toy on the carriage. I put a dot on the wall with a Sharpie. Then I fine tuned the laser to point at it. When i switch projects I can use the manual control to tune the printer exactly back to the specs before.

I hope this helps some people who are having issue with their printer. Its a very good printer but it requires some patience and a lite touch.

Were all the instructions from the manufacturer helpful and clear? Did you have to find things out yourself, for some parts?
