I have to DC Elite, which is amazing in its sound quality. A bit frustrating that with my iPhone 13Pro, I have real issues of interference. That said, the Elite sounds so good, in fact, staggering so for a dongle dac, I will keep it.

Great review, as always! I own the Dan Clark E3 headphones, and I would like to know if in terms of sound quality, if the Taipan gives a better sound than the Questyle CMA 18? (I already own it...) I'm not talking about power. In short, is the upgrade worth it? Because the CMA 18 makes a very good match.

I want to use a DAP as a source and connect it to a Desktop DAC + AMP and play local WAV files (For linearing my Headphones by the PEQ).
Sound wise, a quality Streamer will give me a better results?

putting the portability aside, can the stack well compare to a dedicated desktop stack within the same price range? as r2r and tubes might be hard to find, delta sigma and solid state combos included. i am specially interested in the capabilities of soundstage depth (width not so much) and layering. would be nice, if someone who had the chance to compare could leave a word or two

I love to use streaming music services. To do it on the go, say: while walking in a park, I need a device that can use cellular data. These days, more and more providers offer affordable unlimited data plans in the US. So, currently I use my Pixel phone and Audioquest Cobalt DAC to listen to Spotify or Amazon Music, or whatever I desire. Without streaming capabilities, current portable DAPs are outdated IMO. So: I will not buy such a DAP.
