People don't seem to realise this is a $300 phone.

In my family, we have a saying "if you got something cheaper than most people, don't complain if something goes wrong."

There are good reasons for that, one of which is to make something cheaper you have to cut something out. If you make something cheaper without cutting out something, you are not running business but a charity project

Now that you bring this to my attention, I realized I've been watching Netflix at 540p on my Honor 7x. Compared this to an HD iPhone and even when you can tell quality is different, it's not significant and obviously not a deal breaker.
