There were many who said this was not possible just like the sampler and once again Denon showed it is if you are prepared to innovate I only hope they can bring this to other devices. I have said previously it is the battle for software supremacy and Denon has joined that race 🔥

This is really cool, and I kind of anticipated Denon DJ doing something like that. It's an early version, so yeah, artefacts are to be expected. But I'm really impressed that a standalone unit can do stems at all. It would be nice if you could map the stems control to a physical button, such as the performance pads. But this might be implemented in a later version. I can kind of see where my savings will be going in the future 👀.

P4+ is for those who don't own a P4 yet. The only way I'm upgrading my P4 is if they make a better version with motorized plattters like the SC6000m. That would be the killer controller, and I really hope Denon are the first to do it, Rane One and Pioneer Rev7 are cool, but a "P4m " or a "P4m+" would blow the competition out the water

hi, I just received my new prime 4+ today. i upgraded it to the latest 3.4 firmware but i can't seem to activate the stems feature. any ideas ? it doesn't appear on the settings . TIA

I think alot of people are getting mixed up here. The beta release is only on this to keep the numbers low. At no point have Denon said this is an exclusive feature to the p4+ only. I had never considered Denon DJ kit until i got a chance to try a P4 and fell in love with it. Was using vdj for years and when the launched stems 2.0 and seen it would work with the P4 i have been in heaven since. I love mixing with stems. Totally think the processing should be done in Engine Desktop tho and the stems data synced over to the controller.

This current implementation of stems reminds me of Serato on preparation mode (without a controller plugged in). You can only separate vocals and instrumentals in that mode.

I truly believe that once it's out of beta and cleaned up a bit Stems will be a thing on all Engine DJ gear since there's no hardware difference and that's the only thing that would keep it exclusive to the Prime 4+, if it was a more powerful version of the Prime 4, it would make sense but since it's not I'm looking forward to it

i would love to see stems on the sc6000, a smart move would be to to separate the vocals&instruments thru the deck 2 outputs on the sc6000 device just like in the sampler update that been released a few weeks ago, it will be a killer feature

I have Denon Prime 4 but running Virtual Dj which now has stems as part of its software would it be beneficial for me to wait or just keep using my Dj software.

I love using stems with virtual dj and the prime 4. I was always curious why they didn't have them in the prime 4 in standalone. If they release the stems and make them assignable to the pads then I'm all in. Like the new look to the prime 4 +. Hopefully a software update will allow me to dim the brigness of the LEDs on the controller .
