This is it. This is the one. The rumored album uttered only in whispered tones, until now. And just as the ancient prophecies foretold, the blink-182 California deluxe edition will arrive to save mankind.

Remember the days
We would drink on the train
On our way to the show, Chicago
Naked Raygun live at the Cabaret Metro
Ten bucks to get into a fight you can't win
Boots and braces, yellow laces
Oxblood traces of the night before
We are forgotten young suburbia
Loose on the streets of California
Underneath fluorescent lights
We'll waste the best nights of our life
Fuck this place, let's put up a parking lot
(Na, na na, na na, na na
Na, na na, na na, na na)
Fuck this place, let's put up a parking lot
I can't wait 'til I'm off of work
I'll meet my friends at the Target curb
I rolled my ankle, Matt just broke his wrist
I climbed through your window at 3am
We listened to The Smiths and The Violent Femmes
Yeah, we both sang, "Why can't I get one kiss?"
We are forgotten young suburbia
Loose on the streets of California
Underneath fluorescent lights
We'll waste the best nights of our life
Fuck this place, let's put up a parking lot
We are the broken
No end in sight
We're the forgotten soldiers you left behind
There's no use trying
We lost the war
Now the dead and dying
Are back to even the score
We are forgotten young suburbia
Loose on the streets of California
Underneath fluorescent lights
We'll waste the best nights of our life
Fuck this place, let's put up a parking lot
Na, na na, na na, na na
Na, na na, na na, na na
Fuck this place, let's put up a parking lot

I miss Tom's voice when watching older songs being played live with Matt, but Matt brought a new breath of life to blink, and his vocal parts with blink have a kind of sing-along quality that makes them more fun to listen to.

I absolutely love the Dysentery Gary reference, "fuck this place, I lost the war"

These lyrics are seriously brilliant. I like the guitar riffs too. Solid song. Imo.

I was skeptical when Matt joined the band but honestly, he's exactly what Blink needed. Less emo and more punk. Thank you for this, Blink!

I do love Matt's regular nods to chicago. The Metro is so attached to Matt and Trio.

You can tell for this song Matt was more comfortable. He has that rasp like he does in Alkaline Trio and a power behind his voice. Love it so much.

This song is pop punk perfection! Loved it since it came out and will be listening to this for years to come, i don't understand how people can hate this and say it isn't blink when it's exactly blink, relatable, laid back lyrics about life that anyone can relate too no matter how young or old, fast paced and has a perfect punk rock sound. This is blink

Some of you complain about the "na nanas" etc. I can undersand that. But let me tell you that each time I went to a show, and a song including a "nanana" or a "whowow" is played, it creates with the audience such a wonderful choir. Anyone can sing along and jump to it !

Alot of old blink fans are blaming the music but honestly its you. You grew up, it will never be as amazing as when you first heard blink. Hopefully newer generations of teens will hear this and pick up a guitar, because i dont want this genere to die out.

I love how everyone's like "they're pretending to be young, they're like 40" because they actually don't understand this song like at all.
They come from the suburbs of Chicago before the boom of urban expansion and housing developments. Chicago was more open and less of a cut and dry city back then, but during reform of the city and expansion they literally destroyed the now-adults favorite places to hang out as kids and put up parking lots and other shit.

Anyone else getting bored of these "No Tom = Not Blink" comments?

Get over it, Tom tried to turn Blink into AvA, I'd rather have this ✌

This album just keeps getting better and better. Good move with Matt Skeba.

I’ll just hear to laugh at all this little kids complain of na na na when they weren’t born to even remember old Blink. This is the genre and style that made them popular and it’s great to see them going back to this style.

i don't understand why people complaining, i mean what do you expect?? these are all throwaways from california session, and particularly i think this one is a pretty decent b-side
