Показать описание
Drafted 5th overall in the 1998 NBA Draft, Vince Carter would be immediately traded to the Toronto Raptors on draft night, and “Air Canada” would go on to win the Rookie of the Year award.
By his second season, VC would elevate his play to star status, averaging 25.7 points per game while leading the Raptors to their first playoff berth in franchise history.
Carter would peak between 2000 and 2007, averaging 24.6 points per game thanks to his unique mixture of shot-making prowess and jaw-dropping athleticism.
VC would be traded on December 17th 2004 to the New Jersey Nets, assembling a big three of Carter, Jason Kidd and Richard Jefferson. However, the shallow roster would fail to see major success outside of claiming their division in 2006.
Carter would regress gradually and continued to serve as a valuable veteran on numerous teams before announcing his retirement on June 25th, 2020 at the age of 43.
On his career, Vince Carter would maintain per-game averages of 16.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.1 assists.
