I've loved all of the teir ranking videos/wrap ups recently, and yours was no exception. One book series that gives the same sort of Divergent/Hunger Games vibes from the Era of reading is the Maze Runner. I love this series so much and was obsessed when I was like 15, I think that you might like it.

Bright Side is a book that has altered how I think about life (the 2nd one, Gus, is incredible too. I've heard the 3rd has a CoHo Maybe Someday cameo, can't wait to read). I've carried this book with me for several years, so glad you enjoyed it. Even though you have different opinions on some of my faves, I always like hearing you talk about books!

I’m going to explain what I think the end of the Divergent series was meant to be about that I think some readers don’t see because absolutely no one was expecting that ending. I’ll also say I binged the series and was sitting by a fire when I read the ending and *ALMOST* threw the book in it but I actually love it now. If you look at the whole series, it’s about choice. Being forced to make impossible ones and then having the opportunity to choose taken from you. Choosing self or family too. Without saying what exactly, she made a choice. Readers may not have liked her choice but it was hers and hers alone and who and why she did it speaks to who she was and who and what she valued. Family and protecting others. At least that’s what I took from it. Maybe my takeaway will make another reader not hate the third book so much. Loved the rankings!

loved this video rachel - i’m usually a silent watcher + never comment on your vids, but i have to recommend my fave book series i read as a teenager to you!! it’s the ‘gone’ series by michael grant. it’s a y/a fantasy, dystopian 6 book series with a founding family of characters and smidge of romance, and i think you’d LOVE it 🤍🤍🤍
