Welcome to our channel, where we delve into the fascinating world of networking! In this video, we'll explore the concept of EVPN (Ethernet Virtual Private Network) in data centers and compare two popular architectural approaches: Three-Tier and Spine-Leaf. Whether you're a network engineer, a data center administrator, or simply curious about modern data center designs, this video will provide you with valuable insights and a comprehensive understanding of EVPN and architectural choices.

EVPN is a groundbreaking technology that revolutionizes network connectivity in data centers. It combines the flexibility of Layer 2 Ethernet networks with the scalability and efficiency of Layer 3 IP networks, providing enhanced control, automation, and seamless integration across the data center fabric.

In this educational video, we'll cover the following key points:

Introduction to EVPN: We'll start by explaining what EVPN is and how it enables efficient and secure communication between virtual machines, physical servers, and other devices within the data center. You'll learn about its key features, including MAC (Media Access Control) learning, route distribution, and multi-tenancy support.

Three-Tier Data Center Architecture: Explore the traditional Three-Tier data center architecture, consisting of core, aggregation, and access layers. We'll discuss the benefits and limitations of this approach, including scalability challenges and potential traffic bottlenecks.

Spine-Leaf Data Center Architecture: Discover the modern Spine-Leaf data center architecture, which provides a more scalable and resilient design. We'll explain the concept of spine switches and leaf switches and how they enable high bandwidth and low-latency connectivity between servers and network devices.

EVPN Benefits in Data Centers: Understand the advantages of using EVPN in data centers, regardless of the architectural approach chosen. We'll discuss benefits such as simplified network management, efficient workload mobility, reduced complexity, and improved network convergence.

By the end of this video, you'll have a solid understanding of EVPN in data centers, as well as the differences between Three-Tier and Spine-Leaf architectures. Whether you're involved in data center design, network administration, or seeking to broaden your knowledge of modern networking technologies, this video will equip you with the insights to make informed decisions about network architectures and EVPN deployment.

We talked about various features in this EVPN need for DCI, mostly what I could capture is again back to BGP control plane to prevent storm in the data plane, rest of the communities discussed along with IRB usage and how the multihoming scenario is used, kindly help us with labs taking the legacy DC vs EVPN DC.

Hi i have a one small question, PE-PE MAC exchange happen in control plane but wat about PE-customer(hosts). Host will still send broadcast ARP to PE and PE will send to other PEs n then intended customer will reply? HOW PE --CE flood n learn is avoided in EVPN?
