How Keshi Broke the Immigrant Mindset

There is a stereotype that immigrant parents, especially Asian ones, often encourage their kids to pursue the medical, law, or engineering field. They want what they believe to be best for their kids. But, often in the pursuit of these careers, the kid must suppress their passion and interests.

This is the story of how Keshi aka Casey Luong broke the immigrant mindset. Against his parent's wishes, he went from being an oncology nurse to being a singer, songwriter, record producer, and multi-instrumentalist who is signed with Island Records.
