In this video we take our model we've made in Sketchup and turn it into functioning stage-plan using Vectorworks. Hopefully you can learn a few things along the way, if you'd like to see me cover anything in closer detail, please leave a comment letting me know what you're interested in.

There'll be more content coming in the coming weeks covering set Design, Props and the broader Art Department in the Film and TV industry so please consider subscribing if you'd like to be notified.

Fantastic! Thank you so much. I have avoided VW for quite awhile and just now learning it(Sketchup has been my only real design/drawing software). Your presentation is clear, concise and comforting. I will watch them all!

Amazing. I do all of my 3D modeling in SketchUp and I’m not a big fan of layout when I need to make any kind of plans. I’m buying the Vectorworks design suite license this week as it’s the last year they are offering it perpetually.

Love the videos! Please could you do one on traditional draughtsman drawing techniques, possibly for details? How you lay them out etc :)

Is there any particular reason you choose to model in SketchUp in stead of just doing the modelling in vectorworks?

Hey Greg, where did you get that scale bar from? The scale bar in Vectorworks is only in Metres. Did you make a custom one? Thanks!
