Brian Johnson, Mark Knopfler and Tom Jones on the blues

In their new TV show 'Johnson and Knopfler’s Music Legends' on Sky Arts, AC/DC and Dire Straits icons (and good pals) Brian Johnson and Mark Knopfler join together to share their incredible knowledge and experiences with each other and a hand-picked selection of music royalty.

In the first episode, Brian and Mark chat to Sir Tom Jones and reminisce on their earliest musical influences, with Tom sharing stories from his 60+ years in the business. In this clip, Tom talks about being confined to bed as a child for 2 years with T.B., and how hearing the music of blues artists like Big Bill Broonzy, Mahalia Jackson and Sister Rosetta Tharpe blew his mind. The trio even sing a bit of Big Bill Broonzy's 'Black, Brown and White', with Mark on guitar!

'Johnson and Knopfler’s Music Legends' will air on Sky Arts, Freeview and NOW from 25th April 2024, with episodes featuring Carlos Santana, Nile Rodgers, Emmylou Harris and more to follow.
