You forgot to add that this doesn't use regular chakra but the earths kenetic energy something similar to nature energy but istead of intiating with his based chakra it uses the earths chakra hence why it uses the earths rotation. Thats what I get based on explanation daemon and boruto gave i think we could call this a sort of shinjutsu rasengan . Minato would be so proud.

What i think is boruto was holding down on purpose. I mean he could have literally let him Escape and than flying raijin his way to the ten tails like he did later.


If it really was about the village, boruto would have found a way to teleport himself and code to his own dimension


The real reason i think he was holding back is because he could find himself in code. code was mad that they took isshiki, that kawaki became the vessel and later on even Eida ditched him.

Boruto was kinda in the same situation. Thanks to kawaki he also lost many people he was dear. His parents, his Friends, his reputation, the freedom his Identity as son of the hokage. So thats why he held back and tried to ally.
