I used this successfully about a year ago, but now when I tried it, it didn't seem to help

I could find the malware files by searching for them in the registry (copy and paste from Chrome extensions) but when I tried to delete them, some of them would just pop up an error "unable to delete all specified values".
I discovered that the reason this process didn't work was because of those few files that I couldn't delete.
After a few hours of investigating, I discovered that the permissions were preventing me from deleting the files.
Fix this as follows: right click on the stubborn file, select "permissions" and then allow all permissions. You may have to go to advanced options in that permissions dialogue and delete the blocked permissions.

After I got the permissions fixed, it allowed me to delete the stubborn files. And then when I followed the steps in this video it once again fixed the problem!

This still works, if the ChromeTool or Edgefix won’t run in safe mode make sure they are saved in your C: file on your pc, if ServiceApp or MicroApp aren’t there skip this step as these are malware and need to be deleted
