GUYS THESE COMMENTS ABOUT HOW IT DOESNT WORK ARE OUT OF HAND! YES! This mask CAN MOLD! I get it!! It’s not fully 100% waterproof, I should have just put that it’s partially waterproof !! And NO, the felt itself won’t naturally mold, and the paint won’t fall off in water! I have a better tutorial on my channel where the mask is fully waterproof, make sure to check it out

GUYS THIS CAN VERY EASILY MOULD YOUR MASK‼️ No hate to the creator, but water from lakes and rivers contains A LOT of bacteria! It can seep underneath the duct tape and grow mould!!!
Edit: I did read the pinned comment, but there is no way to fully dry it!

As a fursuit maker I recommend smaller tape pieces it won’t make the tape wrinkled

I’ve used this tutorial and it works great! Just remember to let it dry after using it in water with the felt so it doesn’t get moldy! 😅 (Stay safe!)

Make sure you use smaller pieces it’ll make it smoother! And try to flatten it as much as possible. (If the tape has folds in it, it can let water in and ruin your mask!)

Tysm! Once I get duct tape and more mask bases I’ll try this. I was also gonna try and alternative way which is just painting the mask bare then cover it with mod-podge then let it dry. I was also gonna use some goggles I don’t use or broken ones and steal the lenses so I can go underwater. I would also use the elastic from the back of the ones I don’t use ig because it can get wet and I’m never really gonna actually wear the goggles because they’re all pink and purple and sparkly and stuff. The elastic is fine though. (I SHARE TOO MUCH, OML)

Tip: if you cant make a fully waterproof mask but you want a mask for swimming just use a mask you dont care about

OR! just use a plastic mask. its easier lol. i know its really foldeable and ugly but if you felt it its normal. with tape it could mold your mask, cause its never taped on every spot so it could MOLD easily and it could ruin your mask or if it comes in contact with the skin (the mold) it could irreate your skin. so yea, just use a plastic mask if you want it to be water proof.

Would it also work if you added mod podge instead of duct tape so mould doesn't grow under and then felt and spray the water proof stuff? 🤔

I recommend coating the mask in 4 to 8 layers of mod podge

I have paint that doesn't wash out and you can get felt wet you just need to let it dry out so I'm going to try this

The thing that sucks abt not being a therian an making mask is that YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT ANIMAL TP MAKE especially if you dont rlly have a favorite animal!
