From the Album Ceiling Inferno (Panagiotis Mina, Pyrgatory Studios, 2021)

Released on Dec. 9th 2021 at Akwaibom gallery, Athens, Greece.

The track vocals were recorded on the mountains of Troodos in the village Kilani in 2020, where the Agisilaou sisters perform every year in numerous church ceremonies. This is a folk curse they were handed down from previous generations.

μόνο εσέναν αγαπώ που σαι μια φτωχοπούλα

μια μέρα τον εκάλεσα στο σπίτι μου για νάρτει
κι ο νέος αποκρίθηκε με όλη του την κακία
θα σε έπαιρνα κορίτσι μου αν ήσουν πλουσία

I'm a poor girl, I haven't even a dowry
but I don't want a rich girl, neither a princess

the young man answered with all his wickedness
I would marry you my girl if you were rich
but I am not a rich girl, I am but a poor peasant girl

may I see black colours outside your door, a priest outside your yard
and a hearse carrying your dead body
