Phenomenal! Great teacher! I did lack the confidence to do the swap, and had read that the SSD would be faster and more efficient. But through this demonstration I am confident that I can do this and look forward to coming right back here and giving you a 2nd thumbs up!!

You're a life saver! Thank you so much. I got some misinformation from some other you tubers who skipped the disk utility format drive part and went straight from booting to reinstalling by either pressing option and power button or cmd r and power. My drive wasn't recognized but when I followed your steps, it worked! I was so worried and angry and then your vid saved the day! Thank you so so so so much!

Thank you so much for this video. I'm upgrading my mid 2012 MacBook Pro with a 2TB SSD from Samsung but I was a bit concerned not knowing exactly what to do I had an idea but not the full picture. You're video just gave me the confidence to upgrade my MacBook. Thanks!

Excellent video. I am about to perform this upgrade. Your explanations are very clear, I think it would help people who are not instinctively good with computer hardware. Or those like me who are a bit rusty from the ATA and EIDE days.
