WATCH LIVE: Crews battle South Hill brush fire

A fire near 160th Street East began after a tree fell on a power line.

We live right on the side where the fire jumped and thankfully the fire department was able the stop it before reaching any of the houses.

Dodged a bullet. Could see the flames 200 yards from the house when we were told to evacuate. Fortunately, that stray cigarette butt or homeless encampment didn’t get us…this time!!! (Unfortunately, the power outage on a 90* day for almost 24 hours DID get us!)
