Iguana Freezes When the Temperature Dropped in Florida #shorts

One might think that in Florida, it’s never cold enough for anything to freeze. But this iguana proves that's not the case. The reptile was spotted in the Miami-area lying on the street in a frozen state. According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation, green iguanas don’t adjust well to cold weather since they are an invasive species with origins in warmer climates. So when the temperature drops, they lose muscle control and often fall out of trees.

In Florida once you pick one up it can’t be released, you pick it up it’s yours

There was this one time where I was in my room and all of a sudden my dad came in with an iguana that he said was also frozen so after that we took a jacket from my room and put him in there and after a few days when it was warm enough we let him free and he went inside of a hole 😄😄😄

If I saw one of these beautiful creatures on the road like that...I would at least put the iguana on the side of the road where the iguana would be safe....

what you need too do is snap the neck cause they're invasive and they won't feel it when they're in shock.

I put on gloves and moved the iguana off the road when I saw it.

This iguana has bigger problems than freezing it also looks like it is starving to death which tells me it's not wild it was somebody's pet and they threw it outside to die

This happens all the time in Florida, how on earth is this news? Iguanas have been falling from trees here in the winter since I was a kid.

The iguanas might not be dead nessisarily. They thaw out they'll come back to life. Depends on how cold they got and how long.
